Comments:
Geophysical survey involves the acquisition of 1,710 sq.km. of 3D seismic data over two areas. One known as “Deep Kinsale” and the other known as “Mizzen”. In addition, an “undershoot” of the Kinsale “Alpha” and “Bravo” platforms will be undertaken using both Seismic survey vessels sailing in parallel at the same speed, one on each side of the platforms.

Comments:
The survey is aimed at providing a regional grid of high quality seismic data over the Atlantic frontier basins, to allow for imaging of the geology underlying the seabed. The data will be acquired entirely in waters beyond 12 nautical miles from the Irish coastline and almost entirely within Ireland’s designated Continental Shelf area.
